Our name, LuckPenny, comes from an old Irish tradition. After a buyer and seller agree on the terms, the deal is sealed by a handshake. Tradition then calls for the seller to immediately return to the buyer a sum of money for good luck. This ritual is important because it symbolizes good faith and luck towards one another in future endeavors. The gesture is an embodiment of our approach to music. Oh, and typically, both parties would then retire to the local pub where the "Luck Penny" was used in buying the first round of celebratory drinks. |
